A beautiful day to wake up to~
Hubby was really worried about me because I was in my 1st Trimester & we just found out about it like 2 weeks ago on 30th March 2014, but doctor approved! Plus, I've been looking forward to this day for awhile since we (me & hubby) planned this trip with both side of our families and bought the tickets to Taiwan on 2nd Jan 2014 (via AirAsiaX). We wanted to get the best of both worlds plus meeting all the criteria's I would love to have for our families
Criteria's : Location friendly, walking distance to MRT stations, walking distance to Ximending Night Market, themed hotel room, friendly lobby & easy to locate with certain landmarks, affordable, have rooms for 2pax, 3pax and 4 pax(or 3 adults + 1 kid).

Unfortunately it was almost fully booked and they only had 2 nights available but towards the middle of the week it was fully booked.
Then I found another one which we made booking via Agoda.com to Westgate Hotel, it was new. Super near the MRT station, facing the highway though but the night market is just behind the building, still need to walk through the side alley to reach the center of the night market but it was costly so we cancelled the booking FOC through Agoda.com
Then I searched some more and the landmark I've set is the KFC building at the corner right smack in the middle of Ximending Night Market crossroad as our landmark. SO I found 2 hotels nearby :

Via Hotel was also fully booked and the rooms were limited, plus it was located in one of the alley.

Rainbow Hotel was the only hotel that had limited rooms and still a walking distance from KFC but if you go on Google Map and view as a "Pedestrian" you can actually see KFC building from the Rainbow Hotel entrance, just a straight road, you won't miss it!
So we finally arrived Taiwan today and in terms of transportation & tour guides I'll mention in the next post, hehe... We got ourselves checked in and explored the Ximending night market around our hotel on our own for the first day in Taiwan.
